Responsibilities- Be responsible for hands‑on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment; includes transformers, switch gear, OCBs, Circuit Breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, Relays, Power Management Controls systems and other power‑related equipment & controls.
- Lead outages with other field engineers, technicians, and contractors; project management, lead site engineer or site project manager. Perform administrative functions: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, timesheet, and expense sheets timely and thoroughly.
- Plan, prepare, and/or instruct internal and external training programs to impart field engineering and product knowledge in specialization area.
- Perform administrative functions in a timely manner: writing technical reports, ordering necessary materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field or 4 years of relevant technical experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75% of the time.
- Experience in repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred.
- Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines are preferred.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
