Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, the compounding technician II works in a clean room compounding medication at least 50% of the time in order to help ensure safe, accurate, and smooth compounding operations.
Job Responsibilities- Assist pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standards.
- Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
- Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
- Assist with ensuring quality standards are met by reviewing and inspecting compounded & packaged medications.
- Ensure all compounding and packaging is inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate functioning.
- Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.
- Train and mentor Compounding Technician I's
Supervisor Responsibilities:
No
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft Power Point
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching.
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
May perform other duties as assigned

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $20.47-$34.13
