Crew Lead Solar Installation Technician – Kokosing Solar

Position:
Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level.

Member of the Operations Team, primarily responsible for leading the installation crew and the installation and service of the components of a Solar PV system. Travel is required within Ohio and surrounding states.

The schedule for this position is 10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday.

• Install solar panels and components on rooftops and ground‑mounted racking systems in residential and commercial projects.
• Manage your time and the crew’s time to ensure all standards, policies, and guidelines are followed; lead the team to maintain quality and efficiency and provide guidance throughout the installation process.
• Communicate effectively with the Construction Manager, Project Managers, and all team members to keep everyone informed and aligned with project values.
• Perform physically demanding work on ladders, rooftops, and other hard‑to‑access areas, including repetitive reaching, climbing, and lifting objects up to 75 lbs; operate power tools; work in confined spaces, variable weather, and varying heights.
• Adhere to safety procedures: wear all required gear, prevent distracted driving, maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization.
• Provide training and mentorship to new and current employees on best practices and system installation procedures.

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of experience in the solar industry as part of an installation team.
• At least 1 year of proven experience in a leader/supervisory role of a construction team.
• At least 2 years of construction experience, with renewable energy experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic construction and renewable energy concepts.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the use of applications on a cell phone.
• Willingness and ability to travel 2 to 4 nights per week for overnight assignments.
