Our team's mission is to accelerate spatial biology through analytics research. Our work focuses on three platforms:
- Cos Mx, a single-cell spatial imaging platform that leads the industry in both mRNA and protein plex. Measuring ~1 million cells x ~19,000 genes per experiment, every new dataset holds never-before-seen biology.
- Geo Mx, the only platform capable of measuring >1000 proteins at the single cell level.
- Ato Mx, a cloud computing environment hosting a database of >2 billion spatially resolved single cells.
Getting the most from these platforms requires tackling a host of difficult and tantalizing algorithmic problems. We're looking for someone to join us in this impactful and fascinating work.
Responsibilities- Training deep learning models on both transcriptomic and protein imaging data
- Developing new statistical and computational methods
- Creating and contributing to open-source software tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams of biologists, assay developers, and software engineers

QualificationsMinimum qualifications are below. Beyond this, we will accept a broad range of years of experience; we will adjust the job title and responsibilities accordingly.
- PhD in Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field (new graduates welcome)
- Demonstrated expertise in neural network training as a major part of your research or applied work
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
- Familiarity with single-cell or spatial omics data
- Some expertise in cancer biology, neuroscience or cellular biology
- Experience contributing to open-source projects
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $101,000 to $156,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
