The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a key role in providing high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical and administrative responsibilities within the scope of an LPN license. This role is responsible for patient intake, preparing exam rooms, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the visit. The LPN also supports patient check-in and check-out processes, assists with scheduling follow-ups, and provides exceptional service to patients and their families.
This role is located at our clinic in Mill Creek, WA.
Kinwell offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for external applicants and eligible rehires for this position.
What You’ll Do- Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.
- Assist clinicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures within the LPN scope of practice.
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by the provider and in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform point‑of‑care and ancillary testing as ordered by the clinician.
- Operate and maintain autoclave machines and other clinical equipment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Dispense medications and medical appliances, and apply bandages, dressings, and splints as directed.
- Maintain lab supplies, equipment, and ensure compliance with CLIA requirements, including record‑keeping and quality assurance.
- Ensure patient exam rooms and waiting areas are clean, well‑stocked, and properly maintained.
- Assist in scheduling follow‑up appointments and coordinating patient care needs.
- Accurately document patient interactions, treatments, and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Perform other duties as assigned within the LPN scope of practice.
- Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license through the Department of Health (DOH).
- One year of experience as an LPN in a physician’s office or similar clinical setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Certification from American Heart Association (AHA), Red Cross, or Military Training Network (MTN) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to problem‑solve and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Independent decision‑making skills and ability to resolve issues in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy, point‑of‑care testing, wound care, suture removal, medication administration and patient triage.
- Understands the principles of collecting and documenting relevant patient history, symptoms, and demographic data to support clinical decision making.
- Familiar with medical terminology, electronic health records systems and documentation standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
