Summary
The Alterations Associate performs garment alterations and minor repairs to support a quality in-store shopping experience. The role also explains alterations services and responds to customer inquiries.
Responsibilities- Sew garments and perform basic to advanced alterations, including work on sleeves, backs, sides, collars, and bodices.
- Complete minor repairs, such as replacing buttons.
- Provide customers with information about alterations services and respond to inquiries.
- Deliver accurate, quality work on time and to customer specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of direct experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
