Finance Clerk – Millburn Township

The township is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the full-time position of Finance Clerk in the Township’s Finance Department. The position works under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and supports the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Township. Responsibilities will include a strong focus on accounts payable and related financial processing, along with support for a broad range of Finance Department functions.

Duties may include processing purchase orders, invoices, vouchers and vendor payments, as well as assisting with general accounting, payroll, employee benefits, bank reconciliations, financial recordkeeping, deposits, budget and audit support, purchasing, human resources-related functions, and other financial and administrative duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer proficiency, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.

Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll, municipal finance, or related human resources functions is preferred. Experience with New Jersey municipal finance procedures and financial software is a plus but not required. Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
