Student Support Leader​/Special Ed Teacher

Overview

One School Global is seeking a Student Support Leader to cover a maternity leave for our New England Campus (located in Millbury, MA). This coverage will run from February 2026 to approximately May 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students and have experience working with students with Down Syndrome.

• Curriculum Creation:
  Develop and support curriculum tailored for students with Down Syndrome, ensuring it meets their unique learning needs
• Guidance and Implementation:
  Lead the implementation of supports and professional development for Student Support Assistants, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively support students
• IEP Management:
  Oversee and manage all Individualized Education Programs and formal documentation for students at the New England Campus, ensuring compliance and alignment with educational standards
• Teaching and Support Direction:
  Provide clear direction for teaching staff and support the achievement of IEP goals collaboratively with the Student Support Assistant

• Certified teacher
• Designation in special education
• Specialization and/or extensive experience working with students with Down Syndrome (Highly preferred)
• Strong understanding of the IEP process and documentation
• Orton Gillingham training is an asset
• Experience in alternative curriculum development
• Experience teaching using virtual platforms
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, education and training.
