Activity Leader -Milledgeville

Apply for the Activity Leader – Milledgeville role at the State of Georgia. This position is located at Central State Hospital (CSH) in Milledgeville, centrally located in Georgia, approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, 2½ hours from Savannah, and 1¾ hours from Augusta.

Shift: 8 am – 5 pm.

Acts as a lead‑level HA and performs HA duties, assigned to a specific non‑patient unit area at a state mental health hospital. Functions as an acting resource or mentor for lower‑level staff.

• Acts as a resource and may mentor lower‑level staff.
• Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Serves as a job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
• May supervise and/or direct the work of others.
• Answers clients’ call signals.
• Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.
• Bathe, groom, shave and dress clients.
• Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
• Ensures safety and security of clients.
• Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Implements assigned parts of client individualized treatment and behavior management plans.

• Vacation: 15 days each year up to 5 years of service; 18 days each year from 5–10 years of service; 21 days each year for 10+ years of service.
