Our Lady of the Fields Parish, in Millersville, Maryland, seeks candidates for the Coordinator of First Impressions to serve Jesus Christ and work with an energetic and lively team by serving as the primary point of contact for most parishioners. Reporting to the Office Manager, this staff member serves as the office receptionist, supports office staff and parish volunteers, assists in administrative tasks for the office manager and for weekend liturgy, and manages Child and Youth Protection Compliance for the parish.

Make Disciples" while sharing in the vision to make Church matter and helping to build a welcoming community of constant missionary outreach to all people. The hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM to 4PM.

Essential Functions
  • Ensures the smooth running of the reception desk, including answering questions, directing calls, and greeting and assisting visitors.
  • Logging in contribution checks and cash.
  • Manages Child Protection Compliance records.
External Communications Support
  • Maintaining parish website and Facebook.
  • Creating bulletin documents for seasonal publication (e.g., Lent, Christmas).
Liturgy and Worship Assistance
  • Scheduling clergy and liturgies.
  • Ensuring that everything is prepared for the celebration of the liturgy including notifications, programs, and scripts.
Position Qualifications
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of the parish, to include living a lifestyle consistent with Catholic teaching and attending mass and receiving the sacraments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in an office setting preferred.
  • Strong social, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with database management and record-keeping software preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with church operations and culture is a plus.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
Compensation Range

Range: $17.00 - $19.00, Hourly
