Job Description

Job Summary

Inspectors are responsible to the Director of Quality for the performance of all required inspections in accordance with the Quality Control Manual, OEM’s manuals, and applicable FAA regulations. Inspectors must fully comply with all procedures provided by the Repair Station Inspection System for items inspected, overhauled, repaired, or altered by the Repair Station.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure adequate facilities, technical data, tools, materials, and training are available before performing duties.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest techniques and publications necessary for inspections.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all inspections are performed accurately per technical data, Repair Station, and Quality Control Manual.
  • Assist QMD in performing internal audits across the Repair Station.
  • Conduct incoming/receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in‑progress, final inspection and release to service of all components undergoing maintenance.
  • Review technical data, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Follow proper procedures for inspection, repair, and overhaul of components.
  • Release aircraft articles for return to service when trained, qualified, and authorized.
  • Complete and close the Work Order.
  • Maintain tally sheets for discrepancies issued against Non‑Routine Work Items.
  • Verify inspection records, reports and forms are executed before final release into service.
  • Issue Work Order Package, identify parts, and provide applicable references.
  • Verify the latest technical data is used on articles being overhauled, repaired, or inspected.
  • Ensure technical data currency is always maintained.
  • Confirm identification tags are present on articles.
  • Ensure rejected or unserviceable parts are tagged, discarded per RSM and QCM to prevent misuse.
Education And Experience
  • Minimum of 3‑year experience with a technical degree/background.
Skills And Abilities
  • Interpret blueprint drawings and work with all applicable technical data.
  • Apply logic and reasoning to analyze strengths, weaknesses, and alternatives.
  • Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritizing with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in using various inspection aids.
  • Understand, read, and speak English.
  • Desirable FAA Airframe License certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods; climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
  • Work in a warm and humid environment.
