Aquatics & Safety Lifeguard (PT) Millington YMCA

What You'll Do- Ensure the safety of all pool users through constant, vigilant surveillance
- Build positive relationships with members and create a welcoming environment
- Respond to emergencies quickly and professionally
- Maintain pool and facility cleanliness
- Assist with swim programs and special events
- Help maintain high standards for water quality and safety
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Strong swimming abilities and physical stamina
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or pass the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class provided by the YMCA
- Excellent attention to detail and alertness
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Professional attitude and teamwork

Hours:
We are open seven days a week with various shifts available within these hours.
- Monday – Friday: 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Maintain constant vigilance and alertness
- Perform water rescues when necessary
- Hear distress signals and observe the entire pool area
- Stand or sit for extended periods
- Lift and move pool equipment
