We’re recruiting an Electrician to join the Amey Facilities Management team at HMP Haverigg
. Set in a beautiful coastal location
, Haverigg is widely known as one of the nicest prisons to work at
, with a friendly team, supportive management and a genuinely positive site culture.

Please note: HMP Haverigg is over an hour from Lancaster and in a rural area – unless immediately local,
driving is essential
.

• Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Friday–Sunday: 08:00 – 16:00
• 1 in 3 weekends on a rota (
  paid at +15% of basic salary
  )

• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
• Fault‑finding, minor works, testing & inspections (BS7671)
• Ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant and operational

• 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
• Strong H&S and PPM knowledge
• Experience working independently and at heights
• Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations
