Title: Vaccine Manufacturing Technician
Position Type:6 month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Compensation: $23.50HR

Responsibilities:

Under supervision, duties may include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning work areas, including floors, walls, and tables.
• Preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing glassware and equipment.
• Assisting with equipment setup and operation.
• Assisting with aseptic procedures including product formulation, fill equipment setup/operation, and environmental monitoring.
• Performing concurrent record keeping in charts, logbooks, and other documentation.
• Following safety and company policies, demonstrating safe work habits, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Supporting formulation, filling, labeling, capping, packaging, and visual inspection of vaccines.
• Assisting in training new team members.
• Reporting unusual or non-routine occurrences during tasks.
• Potentially managing hazardous waste in compliance with training and regulations.
• Assisting with non-aseptic procedures, including handling poultry for tissue harvesting.
• Supporting the review and development of SOPs.
• Assisting in reviewing production records and entering technical data into required systems.
• Attending training sessions as needed to maintain and improve job skills.
• Monitoring and requisitioning laboratory supplies as needed.

Important:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, holidays, and weekends, based on manufacturing demands.
• Shift hours may rotate throughout the month as needed:
  • 1st Shift: 6am–2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 8am–4:30pm
  • 3rd Shift: 10am–6:30pm
  • 4th Shift: 12pm–8:30pm
• On average, the worker will work 2 different adjacent shifts each week. Flexibility is required.

Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

• High School diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree with industry or academic lab experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 1+ year of laboratory experience.
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned work.
• Ability to recognize problems and follow existing procedures to assess solutions.
• Ability to meet time frames and deadlines set by others.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend information and effectively convey it to colleagues at various levels.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Laboratory experience in a GMP environment.
• Biology or chemistry educational background.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with aseptic cleanroom behaviors.
