Night Shift Receiving Supervisor – Hang Operations

Primary Purpose

Supervise and coordinate night shift operations in the receiving area of the plant
, where live birds are delivered and processed. This role ensures smooth execution of live hang operations, aligning people, procedures, and resources to meet production goals while maintaining compliance with animal welfare, safety, and USDA regulations
.

• Staffing & Scheduling
  :
  Ensure correct staffing levels nightly to manage incoming bird deliveries and live hang operations.
• Operational Oversight
  :
  Direct and support live hangers, ensuring SOPs and Good Production Practices (GPPs) are consistently followed.
• Animal Welfare & Food Safety
  :
  Monitor humane handling practices, enforce USDA guidelines, and apply HACCP principles; implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Performance Metrics
  :
  Achieve and exceed department KPIs including BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A Grade %.
• Compliance & Training
  :
  Enforce HR and Safety policies, manage Kronos and Oracle HCM requests, and ensure timely completion of safety certifications.
• Continuous Improvement
  :
  Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and strengthen safety practices in live receiving.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience (poultry or food manufacturing strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP principles, and animal welfare standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑volume live receiving environment.
