The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality clinical care of all residents throughout the facility. The supervisor coordinates and supervises nursing staff and ensures that all care is provided according to established standards.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc.
- Review staffing for the assigned shift and ensure each resident has an assigned nurse/CNA; adjust staffing as required.
- Conduct rounds at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Replace any call‑offs during the shift.
- Communicate all events/incidents and resident concerns to the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing; assist in developing corrective actions.
- Hold a current, unencumbered, active RN license in the state or compact state.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a supervisor in long‑term care or related facilities.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
- Knowledge of long‑term care regulations preferred.
