Responsibilities & Requirements

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards, plus access to an insured vehicle for delivery. You should have navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Advancement

Many team members began as delivery drivers and today hold positions such as Domino’s franchise owners. Opportunities exist from delivery driver to management, general manager to franchisee, or Manager Corporate Operations.

General

Job Duties For All Store Team Members

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Training

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions / Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Eye–hand coordination to rapidly and accurately perform tasks.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Work Conditions & Sensory

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 to 90+ degrees. Sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces up to 500 degrees or higher, and sharp edges/moving parts may be encountered. Delivering product involves driving in varied conditions.

Sensing

Talking and hearing on telephone; near, mid-, and far-range vision; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces; night vision for driving.

Temperaments

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional sitting at a desk; lifting up to 50 pounds (deliveries may include cases); pushing and pulling; climbing stairs or ladders for sign changes or maintenance; kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, and other movements as described for typical store operations; driving duties include delivering to customer locations.

Qualifications

As listed above, with emphasis on age, a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.

Additional Job Details

Shifts may require navigating stairs during delivery; positions may involve long periods standing or walking and handling food products in a fast-paced environment.
