Excelcare Egg Harbor is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to support the daily operations of our clinical unit. This role serves as a vital communication and administrative hub, assisting nursing staff, coordinating information flow, managing documentation, and ensuring efficient unit functioning. The Unit Secretary plays a key role in maintaining a professional, welcoming environment while helping the care team deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Maintain and update resident charts and unit records
- Answer phones, relay messages, and manage communication between departments
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges documentation
- Support nursing staff with clerical tasks and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clerical role preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
