Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Billing Compliance Director
Full‑Time (40 hrs per week) – On Site – $60,000 per year.
For more than 60 years, The Cumberland County Guidance Center has been a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. As a non‑profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.

- Extensive knowledge of various compliance rules and regulations regarding billing reimbursement
- Five to ten years of progressive health experience in compliance, business office/patient financial services, finance, information systems, and/or health information management
- Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean five‑year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage
The EHR and Billing Compliance Director efficiently navigates and makes full utilization of the EHR system, identifying and resolving problems and proactively mitigating risk within billing compliance. The role researches, leads, and directs the implementation of compliance with current and new billing rules, regulations, laws and payor contractual requirements. The director leads and directs the billing department in developing and implementing a formal compliance audit plan, conducts compliance investigations/audits, initiates and manages application processes with third‑party insurance agencies to optimize billing opportunities and reimbursement for the agency, resolves claim denials and appeals with all identified payors in a timely manner, and provides training and education to Program Directors and staff regarding documentation requirements for billing purposes, including required timelines, due dates, and eligible vs.

A background check is required, including a clear five‑year driving record/abstract with the ability to be insured by the organization’s carrier.
