Position: HUMAN RESOURCES/RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST

Human Resources/Recruitment Specialist - Full-Time (40 hours per week) On Site $17.00 per hour

For more than 60 years, The Cumberland County Guidance Center has been a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. As a non‑profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals—including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff—works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.

Position Overview

As a full‑time employee, the Human Resources/Recruitment Specialist supports the Guidance Center's Human Resources Department. Responsibilities include proactively recruiting employees for vacant positions, attending job fairs, creating resources to secure candidates, aggressively processing applications, posting job documents, and communicating with applicants to ensure timely receipt of all required documents. The role also involves onboarding and offboarding, personnel record management, new‑hire orientation, credential management, and management of employee clinical licenses or certifications—including obtaining, copying, providing copies to Billing, verifying, scanning, and filing.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational abilities and effective time‑management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating, editing, and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Human Resources.
  • Prior recruitment experience required.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five‑year driving record that meets organizational and insurance requirements.
  • Background check required—clear five‑year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by the organization’s carrier.
