Operations Manager
Job Description
Manager, Wholesale Branch Distribution is responsible for overall branch operational performance including inventory management and leading team members in the areas of inside/counter sales, driver/delivery and warehouse support. This position will serve Rheem Northeast Distribution customers in the Northeast Region of the U.S., located in Millville, NJ
.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain and manage daily reports
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels within the warehouse and showroom
- Manage/improve productivity and efficiency at all levels
- Organize and maintain a positive showroom appearance
- Responsible for training and leading a diversified work force
- Assist HR Manager with recruiting process
- Manage inventory to ensure proper turns and minimum loss throughout the year
- Keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines, monitor competitive threats and discuss proper response and reaction with Regional Manager
- Understand and report P&L information for company location
- Conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers and employees
- Coordinate Center training and Company/Center events
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 5 years or more operational experience, preferable within the HVAC industry
- Associate of Bachelor degree in Business or related field preferred
- Proven success in sales, operations, purchasing and inventory management
- Proven success in managing and mentoring other employees
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment with skills to multi-task at different levels
- Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service are required
- Must be able to deal with customers, contractors, and employees in a professional manner
- High level of organization and follow through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
