As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Job DescriptionAs a Tissue Culture Lab Technician, you’ll be responsible for processing plant material with sterile technique and attention to detail, while maintaining accurate record keeping and a clean work environment. We are looking for both a part‑time and a full‑time candidate. This is an in‑person position in Millville, NJ.
Compensation$18/hour
Responsibilities- Perform tissue culture procedures to propagate cannabis plants, ensuring high‑quality and pathogen‑free plantlets.
- Maintain inventory of plants as they are processed.
- Clean glassware, mop floors and wipe down surfaces to maintain a sterile environment.
- Other general laboratory duties as assigned.
- Must be +21, able to obtain required state cannabis employee time of hire and submit personal information for background check and fingerprinting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Follow instructions and work independently while practicing good hygiene and maintaining a clean environment.
- Conscientious with strong attention to detail.
- Able to sit for long periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Strong eye and manual dexterity to work with multiple strains and maintain separation.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use fine instruments with repetition for extended periods of time.
- Can lift 30 lbs and load/unload autoclave (some personal twisting while lifting is required).
Work environment may include exposure to dust, fumes, odors, heights, heat, humidity and noise, uneven surfaces, standing/sitting for long periods of time, bending/stooping, or hard surfaces. PPE is required and inclement weather may be encountered while working indoors.
