BRIXCO Construction, Inc. is hiring an experienced and motivated Asphalt Paving Foreman to lead field operations on our growing portfolio of civil construction and sitework projects.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
• Plan, organize, and execute paving activities to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Operate paving equipment as needed, including:
  • Paving machines
  • Screens
  • Rollers
  • Backhoes
  • Skid steers
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and engineers to interpret and implement project plans.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and oversee maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
• Promote and enforce strict safety protocols and foster a culture of safety awareness.
• Accurately maintain timecards and other project documentation (production rates, equipment usage, project progress).
• Manage delivery and allocation of materials, equipment, and personnel for optimal workflow.
• Train and mentor new crew members, fostering a high-performing team culture.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement innovative solutions to challenges in the paving process.
• Monitor project budgets and work toward cost-effective solutions without sacrificing quality or safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as an Asphalt Paving Foreman, lead man, or similar supervisory role in construction.
• Strong proficiency in operating paving equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate diverse teams.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and experience promoting safe work environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; adaptable to changing site conditions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality project delivery.
• Ability to interpret technical plans and communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction software and equipment maintenance.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record.
• Local candidates are highly preferred (familiarity with Bay Area and flexibility for short-notice assignments).
