- Pay or shift range: $100,000 USD to $175,000 USD

Whatyou will be doing at Globalstar
As an Electrical Power Subsystems Satellite Engineer
, you will be working on spacecraft electrical power systems for new and existing satellites. This includes onboard power generation and consumption systems.
- Work with a team of engineers to monitor and maintain the Globalstar space asset of multiple generations of satellites
- Establish and maintain subject matter expertise in the Globalstar Satellite Electrical Power Subsystem
- Determine methods for maximizing power availability while minimizing satellite safety risk in support of payload mission requirements
- Perform trend analysis for aging of onboard satellite Electrical Power Subsystem components (e.g., battery, solar arrays, etc.)
- Write and maintain satellite operations procedures and scripts
- Participate in real time operations for nominal operations, anomaly resolution, and anomaly recovery
- Monitor satellite operations in real-time to confirm nominal performance or recommend contingency actions
- Develop and maintain tools to streamline satellite and ground operations
- Prepare commanding requests for operators in accordance with established operations plan
- Oversee the execution of commanding as necessary
- Perform all required telemetry monitoring and analysis, both short and long-term, in order to assure satellite safety
- Bachelor's or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 7+ years of experience working on satellite electrical systems
- 5+ years of experience with spacecraft solar power generation systems
- 5+ years of experience with spacecraft battery systems
- 2+ years of experience creating, modifying, and maintaining system management software written in Python
- 2+ years of experience using MATLAB
- Master's or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of experience working on satellite electrical systems
- Experience with LEO satellites, ground stations, and networks
- Familiarity with Rad Hard space based systems
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
