Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.
** Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
** We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to join the BBP team in Milpitas. These engineers play a crucial role in the development of innovative solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability in energy applications and other high-performance systems!

This role involves designing and analyzing mechanical systems that operate under high pressure and flow conditions. This includes creating components and systems that can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures, ensuring safety and reliability in various applications.

Key responsibilities include:

* Designing and testing mechanical components for high-pressure and high-flow applications, such as cell systems and turbine airfoils
* Using simulations and CAD tools to develop and refine designs for clean technologies and other high-performance systems
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into comprehensive project designs and provide technical direction to less experienced engineers
* Documenting and maintaining technical documentation including design specifications, test results, and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and codes
** Minimum Qualifications
** Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years;
Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years;
Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $ - $ Annually Primary
