Electrical​/Optomechanical Assembler Shift​/Shift

Duration: 12 months

• The Associate Test Engineer will support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of new technologies within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role involves hands‑on work with electrical, digital, and optomechanical systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of working independently on moderately complex assignments that require sound judgment and technical analysis.

• Perform setup, calibration, functional testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Determine or contribute to test specifications, methods, and procedures based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or complete system‑level tests; perform rework as needed based on test outcomes.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist with selecting, configuring, and validating specialized test equipment.
• Execute daily tasks with minimal supervision and manage new assignments with general guidance.
• Work effectively within cleanroom environments and maintain compliance with protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams across multiple locations.

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in electrical and/or optomechanical system testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience developing system‑level requirements, test specifications, and test documentation.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and other electronic test and measurement tools.
• Ability to use fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and precision instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, mathematical formulas, and handbooks.
• Experience with LabVIEW, Linux, and MS Office Suite.
