Job OverviewWe’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our client’s growing Supply Chain Engineering team in the Life Sciences sector. This onsite role requires daily collaboration with cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D. The engineer will investigate non‑conforming materials and part failures, working with prototype analog/digital circuits, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
Responsibilities- Maintain proper documentation and ensure traceability of components
- Manage End‑of‑Life (EOL) components, including running design verification protocols and updating BOM drawings for new components
- Provide hands‑on support on the manufacturing floor, addressing electronics and engineering issues
- Investigate PCBA failures (e.g., power supplies, hard drives) and perform root cause analysis
- Sustain production operations by creating rework instructions, writing technical reports, and reviewing documentation for accuracy
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers (MEs) on issues such as grounding or chassis‑related failures
- Develop and maintain test fixtures, including functional and bed‑of‑nails fixtures
- 2+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes
- Expertise in troubleshooting electronics and component‑level debugging, including printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and layout
- Familiarity with DFMs and best practices for board layouts using tools such as Cadence, Altium, or OrCAD
- Ability to update schematics
- Strong communication skills, with experience interfacing directly with suppliers
- Ability to work onsite in Milpitas, CA, five days per week
$60.00/hr to $70.00/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401(k) retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
