Sr CAD Engineer

You are an experienced CAD / Engineering Services professional looking to make a significant contribution to a dynamic R&D organization. You bring a strong foundation of expertise and knowledge of power IC products and you seek to apply it at a company that is pushing the boundaries of physics in their groundbreaking innovations. At Empower Semiconductors in Milpitas CA we seek to empower a CAD Engineer to bring new products over the goal line and into manufacturability.

You will be responsible for day-to-day CAD activities and must be capable of working independently defining technical direction be self-motivated and a collaborative team player. • Select maintain and manage best in class CAD / EDA tools for mixed signal IC design PCB design.
• License and library / PDK management for a growing team of high performing design and layout engineers
• Document and update design flow / process for all CAD activities support ISO and other industry / customer audits
• Organize training for immediate and extended teams as required to enhance the groups capabilities and efficiency over time.
• Take on hands-on tasks on CAD whenever bandwidth allows

• BS / MS in computer science engineering or related discipline.
• 10 years CAD Management experience
• Proven track record managing EDA licensing PDKs and network infrastructure
• Proven track record working with external semiconductor fabs direct and recent experience with TSMC Global foundries or Samsung fabs would be a distinct advantage.
• Simulator experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form
• Strong resource and project management organizational skills
