About TiposiWe're building medical devices that enable faster stroke detection, giving doctors valuable time when every second counts. Our low-frequency radar sensor technology is portable, non-invasive, and designed to make advanced care more accessible and less burdensome for patients and providers alike.
At Tiposi, you'll develop algorithms for medical devices designed to improve stroke detection. As a small Silicon Valley startup, we move quickly—from concept to prototype—and every team member's work has direct impact. You'll collaborate across disciplines and take on varied challenges as we work to bring new technology to patients.
As an early team member, you'll work directly on novel technical problems alongside our core team. Your work will directly influence product development as we build technology intended for widespread clinical use.
As a Digital Signal Processing Engineer, you will…
- Create, develop, and implement DSP algorithms, including interference detection, interference cancellation, and signal conditioning.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP algorithms into hardware platforms and wireless systems.
- Perform system-level modeling and simulation to validate the performance of DSP algorithms under various channel conditions and interference scenarios.
- Optimize existing DSP algorithms to enhance system performance, reduce power consumption, and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with testing and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist in creating patent applications, technical white papers, and industry conference presentations.
- PhD (preferred) or M.S. with equivalent years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on DSP or wireless communications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DSP engineering, with a background in wireless communication systems.
- Proficiency in DSP algorithm development, simulation, and implementation.
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar tools and languages.
- Experience with signal preprocessing for deep learning applications, particularly in RF or time-series domains.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to complex technical challenges.
- Understanding of RF systems and experience with software-defined radios (SDR).
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI/ML techniques for signal processing or time-series data (e.g., preprocessing, feature extraction, or integration with deep learning models).
Note: Currently, this role begins with a 3–6 month contract-to-hire phase at $5,000-$9,000/month as a 1099 contractor, followed by transition into a full-time W-2 position and expanded compensation.
