Digital Signal Processing; DSP) Wireless Engineer

We're building medical devices that enable faster stroke detection, giving doctors valuable time when every second counts. Our low-frequency radar sensor technology is portable, non-invasive, and designed to make advanced care more accessible and less burdensome for patients and providers alike.

At Tiposi, you'll develop algorithms for medical devices designed to improve stroke detection. As a small Silicon Valley startup, we move quickly—from concept to prototype—and every team member's work has direct impact. You'll collaborate across disciplines and take on varied challenges as we work to bring new technology to patients.

As an early team member, you'll work directly on novel technical problems alongside our core team. Your work will directly influence product development as we build technology intended for widespread clinical use.

As a DSP Engineer, you will develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms to enhance RF and wireless system performance. You will analyze real-world signals, solve complex signal processing challenges, and collaborate with RF, hardware, software, and AI/ML teams to integrate DSP solutions into complete systems.

• Design, develop, and implement DSP algorithms for interference detection, cancellation, signal conditioning, filtering, and enhancement.
• Perform system-level modeling and simulation to evaluate algorithm performance under various channel conditions, noise environments, and interference scenarios.
• Analyze field data to identify signal performance issues, determine root causes, and develop effective signal processing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP algorithms into hardware platforms and optimize overall system performance.
• Work with AI/ML teams on signal preprocessing, feature extraction, and deep learning-based signal processing applications.
• Contribute to technical documentation, patent applications, write papers, and conference presentations.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field focused on DSP, signal processing, or wireless communications.
• 3+ years of experience in DSP algorithm development, simulation, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of DSP fundamentals, including signal analysis, filtering, detection, and interference mitigation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with RF systems, wireless communications, or antenna systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of RF systems and experience with software-defined radios (SDR).
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI/ML techniques for signal processing or time-series data (e.g., preprocessing, feature extraction, or integration with deep learning models).

Currently, this role begins with a 3–6 month contract-to-hire phase at $5,000-$9,000/month as a 1099 contractor, followed by transition into a full-time W-2 position and expanded compensation.
