Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Finance team in Milpitas, CA. This is an individual contributor role that serves as the technical and analytical backbone of the accounting function — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all day-to-day accounting activities.

You will work closely with a team of five accountants, providing professional support, guidance, and mentorship while reporting directly to the Director of Finance. The ideal candidate has strong Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP experience and thrives in a fast-paced, public-company environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-, and year-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analyses.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to oversee and monitor the overall monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring alignment with corporate deadlines and reporting accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reviews, identifying potential risks and recommending process improvements.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control policies (SOX).
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Support and assist with payroll accounting, including review of payroll entries and reconciliations in coordination with HR and payroll providers.
  • Support and assist with sales and use tax accounting, ensuring accurate filings and compliance in coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for the Corporate Finance Department, supporting the achievement of budget objectives by tracking actuals versus budget and analyzing variances.
  • Act as a technical mentor to the accounting team — reviewing work, providing guidance, and ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage and optimize processes within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Financials), including GL, AP, AR, and FA modules.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to ensure financial integrity and process consistency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP experience (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with internal controls/SOX compliance.
  • Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Exposure to payroll and sales tax accounting preferred.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, guide, and mentor others without direct management authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
