We are looking for candidates local to Milpitas CA as this is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days/week in the office.

We are currently looking for talent to join our Intersight development team as part of Cisco's Data Center Compute portfolio.

Cisco Intersight is a cloud and on-premise based system management platform for Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System), and other Data Center products. It provides actionable intelligent level of management that enables IT organizations to analyze, simplify and automate their environments. It is driven by analytics and machine learning to provide actionable intelligence for IT operations management. Intersight Virtual Appliance is the on-premises solution that runs the Intersight capabilities in a Virtual Appliance.

As part of Intersight Virtual Appliance team, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic core team and help shape the future of Data Center Infrastructure management technology, product direction and eventually the business in Data Center. As a senior engineer, contribute to backend development activities of Intersight SaaS & On-premises appliance products including planning, designing, implementing, testing, automating, and coordinating with other teams.

Influence the feature development and improving product quality and customer experience.

Good team player. Lead and mentor colleagues with your expertise and knowledge.

Maintain active understanding of industry practices for platform scaling and new technology.

Work on Agile Teams using continuous development and deployment process

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of related experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Go) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Hands on experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
  Linux, Public Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Networking, Security, Systems Administration, Software Development, and CI/CD
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud, preferably AWS.
• Experience with observability tools using Prometheus (Alert manager), Grafana, Thanos, Cloud Watch, Open Telemetry, and the ELK

• Hands on knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, the kernel, system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
• Experience with fully implemented automation workflows
• Ability to design and implement scalable and well tested solutions, with focus on streamlining operations.
• Experience engineering processes for various compliance standards: SOC2, ISO
  27001, FedRAMP, etc
