Job Description

The Strategy Analyst II — Global Logistics within San Disk’s Global Operations will play a pivotal role in driving cost optimization, strategic analysis, and process improvement initiatives across transportation, trade compliance, and fulfillment. This role combines analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑impact outcomes that improve service, reduce cost, and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead and support high‑priority strategic projects, including cost‑to‑serve modeling, tariff mitigation analysis, drop ship feasibility studies, and mode shift opportunities (e.g., air vs. parcel)
  • Own monthly KPI reviews for fulfillment costs, savings validation, and dashboard reporting; ensure accurate financial tracking and visibility for leadership
  • Develop and maintain automated tools (e.g., tariff simulator, Power BI dashboards) to improve reporting accuracy and reduce manual effort
  • Conduct incremental cost analyses for network options, optimizing routing and mode decisions
  • Support quarterly business reviews (Q ) by preparing slide decks, speaking notes, and data‑driven insights for procurement and logistics leadership
  • Streamline and automate data extraction for transportation, fulfillment and duty tax reporting reporting
  • Collaborate with finance, planning, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage and track multiple logistics and cost optimization projects, maintaining detailed weekly and monthly workstream reports for stakeholder visibility
Qualifications Required
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in management consulting, logistics strategy, or analytical roles within supply chain; experience in transportation or trade operations preferred.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with analytics tools (Excel/Power Query, SQL/Python, Power BI/Tableau) and financial modeling.
Preferred
  • Experience with ERP transformation (SAP S/4

    HANA) and transportation/trade systems (Oracle OTM/GTM).
  • Exposure to carrier RFPs, rate benchmarking, and negotiation support.
Skills
  • Proven ability to drive change at scale with a strong bias for action and ownership.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills; comfort with ambiguity and hypothesis‑driven problem‑solving.
  • Strong data‑driven problem‑solving capabilities, including cost‑to‑serve modeling, financial modeling, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and KPI design.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; ability to craft compelling executive‑level presentations and Q  narratives.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross‑functional teams across regions.
  • Collaborative mindset; thrives in a global, matrixed environment and partners effectively with Transportation, Trade Ops, Fulfillment, Finance, Procurement, and IT.
