Material Handler

Job Summary & Responsibilities Position Purpose

To coordinate the On-time Shipment of Tools by helping to provide the right material, in the right quantities, at the right time from the right source.

• Shortage Handling and Reporting
• Expediting Material
• Increasing the throughput and efficiency of material flow to the shop floor
• On time delivery performance improvement
• Managing Bottlenecks/ De-bottlenecking
• Constraints Management in the Tool Building Process
• Balancing the flow of materials through the entire supply chain
• Assisting in coordinating the priority for hot work orders to be picked
• Tracking work orders and resolving issues with missing materials
• Identification of gate operations and expediting the operation
• Proactively analyzing the potential show-stoppers and escalating issues to the appropriate level to initiate necessary actions to ease the situation
• Helping in the Tool Configuration Change Handling
• Establishing a working line of communication and good working relationship with the Planning team, Production Team, Purchasing Team, Warehousing Team, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control.
• Providing recommendations to avoid Bottlenecks

Being flexible in accommodating the changes, Timely response to changes, Expedition of Parts, Understanding Customer Requirements, Good Relationship with all the functions within the organization, Good Decision Making Capability, Leadership Skills.

High School Diploma or Associates or Bachelors Degree.

Materials and ERP knowledge and ability to understand the Customer requirements.

Min 5-7 years of Materials Department experience
