Seasonal Sales Associate – Great Mall, Milpitas, CA

Join Five Below as a Seasonal Sales Associate. Our purpose is to create a fun, low‑price shopping experience.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Assess customer needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, direct to merchandise, and offer recommendations, including suggestive selling.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience.
• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternatives and turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate merchandise, service, and feedback needs to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers professionally.
• Ability to handle customer interactions courteously and use basic problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to learn on‑the‑job procedural knowledge.

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lb and place/remove items up to a height of 5‑10 ft.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate accurately with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and transporting merchandise.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for the majority of the shift.

Hourly

$18.20 per hour
