Stock Associate, Part Time Flex, Milpitas - Pottery Barn Outlet

Join Pottery Barn for a part‑time, flexible Stock Associate role in Milpitas.

About the Role

Receive and process shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, manage stockroom and off‑site locations, and assist sales team in replenishing sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive shipments and accurately maintain inventory records.
  • Ticket and stock merchandise in the stockroom or prepare for immediate distribution.
  • Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages.
  • Organize stockroom by department and categories, stock merchandise on appropriate shelves or offsite locations.
  • Adjust stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear.
  • Ensure merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, and logged.
  • Pack and log merchandise for customer deliveries.
  • Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain inventory records.
  • Keep stockroom clean, swept, and supplies organized.
  • Assist on sales floor during peak times and as assigned.
  • Complete tasks on daily agenda (maintenance of store, lighting, cleaning).
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 years of customer service experience; stockroom or related work experience preferred.
  • Passionate about delivering high level of customer service to internal & external customers.
  • Ultimate team player, eager to help colleagues, proactive.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time‑management skills to execute multiple tasks.
  • Ability to operate scanning equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry medium‑to‑large items, up to 100 lbs (or 75 lbs for full‑time).
  • Availability for minimum two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts; full‑time associates expected to have open availability.
Physical Requirements
  • Mobile on sales floor for extended periods.
  • Operate POS system.
  • Lift and mobilize medium to large items.
