Responsibilities
  • Contribute the overall test automation strategy across platforms and product lines and identify/prioritize test cases for automation.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, API, performance, and security testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues by conducting root cause analysis, and report defects to development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage, define acceptance criteria, and address quality concerns.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on best practices, tools, and automation techniques.
  • Identify areas for improvement in QA processes, tools, and metrics to optimize testing efficiency.
  • Supervise and guide the testing team to ensure adherence to established testing methodologies and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Generally requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Gherkin or Cucumber.
  • Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Appium.
  • Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Spec Flow, Maven, Page Object Model, Page Factory Model, and TestNG.
  • Solid experience with REST API testing using Postman or Rest Assured and strong understanding of relational databases with SQL query writing.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Deep understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies (like Agile/Scrum), and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills to collaboratively engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, Browser Stack, and XCUITest for test automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud testing environments and technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
  • Domain knowledge in industries such as healthcare, finance, or e‑commerce.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB.
