The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics.

The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead the Acu Shape Software Engineering team responsible for developing advanced scientific computing solutions used in semiconductor metrology applications. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and program execution to deliver high-quality software that enables next-generation modeling, simulation, and metrology workflows. The ideal candidate has a strong background in C#, C++, .NET,

and Windows application development, along with experience managing software engineers working on computationally intensive scientific applications. You will partner closely with Product Management, Algorithms, Applications Engineering, System Engineering, and Customer Support teams to drive product innovation, quality, and execution.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers responsible for Acu Shape application and platform development. Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent. Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and regular coaching conversations. Manage team priorities, workload balancing, and resource allocation across multiple projects.

Guide software architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of Acu Shape applications using C# and C++ on .NET/Windows platforms. Establish engineering best practices for code quality, testing, security, maintainability, and scalability. Drive modernization initiatives, including adoption of AI-assisted development tools and automation technologies. Partner with senior engineers and architects to define technical roadmaps and long-term platform strategies. Support investigation and resolution of complex customer escalations and performance issues.
