Responsible for delivering a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to support the prescriptions team and widerclinical staff. Key responsibilities include the accurate and timely processing of prescription requests in both electronic and paper formats, maintaining effective communication with colleagues, patients, pharmacies, and externalhealthcare providers, and ensuring all actions comply with current practice policies and procedures. The role requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

To be part of the Admin and Prescriptions team and perform duties to assist smooth running of the department.

We work over two purpose-built sites in Bletchley with a list size of 22,000 and growing.

Job responsibilitiesSupport safe prescribing by handling the technical and administrativeaspects of prescription preparation and issuance.
Provide efficient administrative support to ensure smooth prescriptionservices for clinicians. Manage prescription enquiries from patients,clinicians, external organisations, and colleagues across all communication channels
Carry out general administrative tasks, including post handling,scanning, document processing, read coding, photocopying, and maildistribution.
Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support service delivery as directed by the Line Manager.
Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Experience of working with the general public (face to face)
- Experience of prescription duties
- Experience in a GP Practice or Health Care Organisation
