Overview
Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join their Automotive Importer Workshop in Milton Keynes. This structured two-year apprenticeship combines hands-on technical training with a nationally recognised qualification, providing a strong foundation for a long-term career in the automotive industry.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about vehicle technology, enjoy practical problem-solving, and are seeking to build their technical expertise within a forward-thinking automotive environment undergoing significant transformation driven by digitalisation and electrification.
Please note:
This is an apprenticeship role. Applicants holding a Level 4 qualification or higher in a related subject are not eligible.
As a Motor Vehicle Apprentice, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair activities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
- Carry out routine servicing in line with manufacturer and safety standards
- Work across multiple automotive brands within the group portfolio
- Develop technical knowledge under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Work towards achieving a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician qualification
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and workshop practice
To be considered for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades 9–4 or A–C), including Maths and English
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Must meet government apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria, including residency requirements
- Must not hold a Level 4 qualification or higher in a related discipline
- Must not have more than six months’ professional experience in a similar role
- Must not be enrolled in another government-funded learning programme
- Genuine interest in automotive technology and vehicle systems
- Strong practical and hands-on aptitude
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
