Salary: £28,000 - £40,000
Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on the motorcycles we purchase and retail, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, list components required to efficiently repair to a road‑worthy condition. Carry out PDI assessment and evaluation in line with business standards, along with completing the inspections in a timely manner. To ensure workshop cleanliness standards are always met, all Health and Safety policies are adhered to and SBF standards are maintained through the entire motorcycle journey.
MainResponsibilities
- Carrying out PDI checks.
- Completing remedial work on purchased bikes and completing comprehensive vehicle preparation in line with Superbikes factory retail standards.
- Complete repairs within allocated time, working towards business‑agreed efficiency and productivity metrics.
- Completing intermediate, routine and major servicing on various bikes for both internal and external customers.
- Provide comprehensive vehicle evaluation and be able to present to customers to review, either via written report, video or in person.
- Complete repairs to company standards, maintain high repair accuracy rate.
- Work in line with company standards of repairs.
- Work in line with company Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Complete road‑testing assessment on various motorcycles, licence dependant.
- Undertake various learning activities in line with market changes and new product launches.
- Ensure workstations are always kept clean and tidy in line with 5S principles and the company’s housekeeping policy.
- Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested.
- Essential: GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or Grade 4 and above or equivalent
- Desirable: Full motorcycle licence
- Desirable: Restricted motorcycle licence
- Desirable: Motor vehicle qualifications
- Desirable: Engineering qualifications
- Desirable: Dealer specific qualifications
- Essential: Experience of using MS Office;
Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook - Desirable: Motorcycle background
- Desirable: Using hand tools
- Desirable: Use of diagnostic software (TEXA)
- Desirable: Previous work experience
- Essential: Must have ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
- Essential: Time Management skills
- Essential: Effective problem‑solving skills applied when diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Desirable: An understanding of the Motorcycle industry.
- Desirable: Demonstrable mechanical knowledge of modern motorcycles.
- Desirable: Basic understanding of IT systems and Office 365
- Essential: Self‑motivated
- Essential: High level of attention to detail.
- Essential: Team player who demonstrates a high level of commitment and adopts a flexible and positive attitude
- Essential: Passion for motorcycles and mechanics
41.25 hours per week on site
Monday to Friday
Working one in four Saturdays
