Business Analyst - Level 3

At VWG UK we have an opportunity to join the Group IT Team as a Business Analyst Level 3 on a full time permanent basis.

As a Lead Business Analyst you will be supporting our business colleagues helping them to transform operational objectives into business solutions by gathering, analysing and translating their specific needs into clear, unambiguous business requirements and functional specifications, and ensuring that all end-to-end requirements of change and projects are met.

You will be dealing with unique, highly complex business issues and a range of different projects – often with large groups of senior stakeholders. As a L3 BA we will be asking you to provide guidance to our L1 and L2 Business analysts to support the quality and consistency of their work. Along with our other L3 BAs you will be expected to lead our business analysis practice and drive continuous improvement in our business analysis processes.

VWG UK IT is organised into Portfolio teams. You will be the Lead Business Analyst on one of our larger and more complex portfolios. You will be heavily involved in shaping and structuring the portfolio and incepting projects. This role will also supervise, task manage and quality assure the work and outputs from 6+ contract BA resources who will be working across a number of work streams.

These work streams underpin large scale business change, providing an opportunity to support business stakeholders throughout the process.

You’ll also work closely with the architecture, development and testing teams to convert and track requirements through into workable, stable solutions.

• Solid experience as a Lead Business Analyst
• Experience task managing teams of business analysts
• Experience of supporting less experienced business analysts
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• ISEB/BCS Business analysis diploma or equivalent
• Experience working as a product owner within an Agile development methodology
• Understanding and experience of Waterfall / Prince 2 methodology
• A mindset for continuous improvement
• High motivation, proactivity, and organisation
• Lean / Six Sigma certification is desirable
• Significant experience working on projects/programmes with large scale business change
