Monday to Friday 40 hours per week , hours 08 : 3 0 and 1 7 :00 – You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.
Job Role /DescriptionAn exciting position has arisen for a Service Administrator to support and assist the Services Team with the requirements for our long existing, and new clients with the material handling machinery we sell and hire, alongside our field engineers.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Duties – Specific Various
- Answering telephones and directing calls
- Helping customers with their queries
- Dealing with customers that may come in and visit
- Keeping workspace clean and tidy
- Unpacking of parts and booking delivery notes in
- Putting stock away
- Liaise with other branches as and when required
- Any other requests/tasks to suit the need of the business
Service
- Raising jobs on Protean when required, making sure that all information is on the job.
- Maintaining communication with customers via telephone and e-mail where required
- E-mailing the customer with engineers’ worksheets/service & examination reports.
Driver Training
- Administer the driver training process
- Liaise with customers to find out their requirements
- Liaise with the driver trainers to make customer bookings and confirm diary
- Create training packs for the driver trainer
- Process and invoice the completed training but producing the certificates
- Making sure that all driver training reference material is all up to date in liaison with drivertrainingbody
- Generate and handle new bookings
Skills Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/outlook
- Carries out work with accuracy, efficiency and with an eye for detail
- Be able to work well in a team
- Protean knowledge – training will be given
The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. As well as other duties relevant to your experience.
- Customer focused with administration and organisation skills
- Excellent telephone and face to face communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and ERP/CRM systems (e.g. Sage/Protean)
- Previous experience in the service industry would be advantageous but not essential
