Highways Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor to join our client's team in the Milton Keynes area on a freelance, immediate-start basis. The role will involve supervising highways maintenance and repair works, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise day-to-day highways maintenance and repair works on site

· Ensure works are carried out in accordance with specifications, drawings, and programmes

· Manage site operatives and subcontractors

· Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

· Coordinate materials, plant, and traffic management requirements

· Carry out site inspections and quality checks

· Liaise with clients, engineers, and local authorities as required

· Complete site records, reports, and paperwork accurately

Requirements

· Proven experience in a Highways Supervisor role

· Strong knowledge of highways maintenance and repair works

· SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)

· NRSWA Supervisor qualification (essential)

· First Aid (preferred)

· Good understanding of health & safety legislation

· Ability to manage teams and work to tight deadlines

· Full UK driving licence

Nights may be required on this contract, rates are dependent on experience.
