My client is a leading specialist contractor delivering concrete repair, protection and structural refurbishment solutions across the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently within the water, highways and infrastructure sectors. Working on behalf of major clients, they pride themselves on technical expertise, collaborative working and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing- Delegating work to site operatives and coordinating daily site activities.
- Representing my client at site meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
- Motivating, coaching and supporting site teams to achieve excellent performance.
- Supervising subcontractors and monitoring the quality of their work.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including site diaries, measurement sheets, labour and plant returns, goods received records and quality assurance documentation.
- Delivering toolbox talks, site inductions and regular site inspections.
- Raising requisitions for materials, plant and personal protective equipment.
- Maintaining photographic records of project progress.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and company procedures.
- Promoting good housekeeping and maintaining clean, organised working areas.
- Championing health, safety, environmental and quality standards by ensuring all SHEQ procedures are followed.
- Supporting the day-to-day management of projects while maintaining productivity, quality and safety.
- Previous supervisory experience within the clean water or civil engineering sector.
- Good knowledge of concrete repair techniques, including breakout and repair preparation, water pressure cleaning, hand‑placed repairs, shutter repairs, level coats, fairing coats and protective coatings.
- The ability to read, understand and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Experience managing, mentoring and developing site operatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- CSCS (achieved or working towards).
- EUSR.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme).
- CITB Health & Safety Awareness.
- NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision or an equivalent construction-related qualification (achieved or working towards).
- First Aid at Work.
- SSSTS.
- Base salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (where applicable).
