Corrugate Packaging Senior Technical Designer

We are looking for an experienced design professional from within the packaging (corrugate preferred) sector. This position has been filled, but similar vacancies remain available.

You will report to the Design Manager, who will provide direction while you manage the daily operations of the Innovation Laboratory, support the manager and team, and lead customer engagement. You are expected to use the latest technologies and innovations to deliver design solutions across industry disciplines.

• Take full responsibility for smooth daily running of the facility, including team management and orchestration of all customer visits to the site.
• Listen to customer needs and communicate professionally in conversation and presentations.
• Support the national sales teams and use design tools to create innovative cost‑saving solutions that meet customer briefs.
• Understand consumer trends and supply chain challenges to conceptualise bespoke solutions.
• Ensure goals are met while considering branding, safety, and total cost implications.
• Prioritise workload and manage projects to meet customer deadlines.
• Produce finished customer samples, 3D visuals, artwork proofs, and presentations.

We expect you to have a demonstrably strong track record of customer engagement and design solution delivery, leadership experience, and the ability to champion team spirit and stakeholder management.

• Experience using Kasemake or Artios CAD, Sketch Up Pro, Adobe CC, MS Office.
• Ecommerce and industrial transit packaging knowledge and experience.
• Customer-facing & account management skills.
• Self‑motivated.
• Full driving licence.
• Non‑essential experience using Solid Works, digital printing, Microsoft Hololens (all advantageous).
