Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Milton Keynes for a Tutor specialising in SETPD and Functional Skills. The Tutor will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of post-16 learners, focusing on supporting their personal development and preparation for adulthood. Key responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing mentoring and guidance, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Tutor will collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience and support students in achieving their individual goals.

Qualifications

• Strong instructional and teaching skills, including lesson planning, curriculum development, and student assessment
• Proficiency in teaching functional skills such as literacy, numeracy, and life skills
• Ability to effectively mentor and support students in their personal and professional development
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
• Experience working with post-16 learners or providing alternative education pathways
• Relevant teaching qualifications in education, training, or a related field
• Experience in a vocational or skills-based training environment is a plus
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere and promoting equal opportunities for all learners
