About You

The Milton Keynes Academy are seeking an ambitious and resilient school leader who believes deeply in the power of character education to transform students’ lives. You thrive in strategic roles, enjoy problem‑solving, and have the presence and credibility to inspire staff, students and families alike.

Ideal candidate will have
  • A proven track record of leading high‑impact behaviour systems and contributing to whole‑school improvement.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour data, with the ability to identify trends, direct interventions and evaluate their impact.
  • Experience implementing consistent behaviour and rewards policies, including sanctions, reconciliation processes and reasonable adjustments.
  • The ability to lead and develop pastoral teams, ensuring high‑quality follow‑up, communication and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively with senior leaders, staff, parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Confidence and presence to model Academy values and maintain high expectations for conduct across the school.
  • Strategic thinking and the capacity to plan, review and refine behaviour interventions, support plans and inclusion strategies.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and maintaining a safe, calm and disruption‑free learning environment.
  • A passion for character education and the ability to promote the values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Aspiration and Equality through daily practice.
  • The professional integrity, resilience and determination to uphold a positive culture where all students can Dream, Believe and Succeed.
