About the Role
Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Milton Keynes to recruit a committed Year 6 Teacher for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supportive school environment and guide pupils through a pivotal stage of their primary education, including preparation for end-of-key-stage assessments.
You’ll be joining an established team and making a real impact on pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and readiness for secondary school.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum
Lead and support a Year 6 class through SATs preparation
Create a positive, inclusive classroom where all pupils feel motivated and supported
Plan and differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively
Work collaboratively with colleagues on planning and assessment
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and SATs preparation
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
A proactive, flexible, and organised approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to commute to Milton Keynes
