Teacher OF DESIGN AND Technology FTE; Part Time

About this role

The Governors l s Catholic School have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Teacher of Design and Technology. The role is 1 FTE, with a part‑time option, and will take place within our vibrant D&T department. The department is a key, thriving and growing area of our school and one of the largest in the country.

• Teach a range of Design and Technology subjects at KS3 and KS4, ideally specialising in product design and/or engineering.
• Enthuse pupils with a love for the subject and promote a creative learning environment.
• Possibly deliver A‑Level Design and Technology (aspirational).

• Excellent teaching ability and passion for Design and Technology.
• Specialist knowledge in product design or engineering.
• Experience teaching at KS3/KS4, with the option to teach A‑Level desirable.

• Access to a state‑of‑the‑art 3D printing suite used from KS3 to KS5, enabling students to bring innovative ideas to life.
• Two fully equipped D&T blocks with spacious classrooms and storage.
• Support from two superb technicians and a collaborative team of teachers.
• Recognition as an OCR Ambassador Centre, offering strong links with exam boards.
• Largest KS5 offering in the area, with consistently large cohorts in engineering, product design and fashion & textiles.
